I love sandcastles and the memories of building them with my children. I thought I would create today's treasury list of creations with a sandcastle theme, made by wonderful Etsy artisans, since it is sandcastle season here in San Diego. Grab you sand pails!

Back to the Creation Station!

We've nicknamed the formal dining room - turned workshop the Creation Station.  I'm not sure who came up with the name, but it's a name that was given to my old scrapbook table in one of our former homes.  It kind of has become the nickname for my work room or work table wherever it may be.  So today, for the first time in a few weeks, I was back at the Creation Station working on several projects.  Some of them are for the house, some to be given as gifts, and some will go up for sale in my Etsy shop.  I don't have any pictures of finished products for you just yet, but I thought I would post a couple of sneak peek photos just to get you guessing.

Katie's Jewelry Holder

My daughter moved into her new apartment this month.  This will be her last college apartment as she is finishing her studies this year.  Whenever our grown children move into a new apartment or home, I try to make something for them.  Here's a picture of a stretched canvas I used to create a piece of wall art that can also be used as a necklace holder.  The "K" is for Katie!

Tuesday's Treasury List ~ Australia!

Tuesday Treasury Lists are back and our stay-cation is now over. I've been away from posting for a couple of weeks following my husband's retirement from the Navy and during our dear friends' visit from Australia. We enjoyed showing them around our wonderful city and the surrounding areas. They left today, so I thought that I'd create today's Tuesday Treasury by choosing art from Australian Etsy artists in celebration of our friends' visit. I hope you enjoy the Treasury!

In 10 days we will celebrate my husband's Navy career in a retirement ceremony with friends and family.  The Navy has been a part of our lives for over 26 years ~ it's hard to say goodbye, but exciting to think about the future.  We've been proud to call ourselves a Navy Family. I found these items on Etsy that reminded me of my husband's remarkable service to our nation.

Guess What I've Been Up To.....Another DIY Project for Sure!

 It's been a very busy weekend.  I have started three different projects and have one almost complete.  We are getting close to our busiest back to back weekends in a very long time and I want everything at home to be perfect.  So, that means lots of DIYing  to get ready for all of our children, their significant others, and friends and family.  We have our second oldest's college graduation followed by my husband's retirement ceremony from the Navy.  I am one happy mom to have all the kiddos under one roof for an entire week!!

Old is New Again ~ Coffee Table & Side Table Re-Do!

I finally got to a project last weekend I had been wanting to work on for years.  Honestly, I have hated 

disliked the finish on our coffee table and end tables from day two.  We bought them in 2000.  You know the popular finish of the time, a light honey pine.  Everything was honey pine ~ tables, chairs, kitchen cupboards (we have those too:), bar stools, headboards, dressers....I could go on and on.
